but Martin and James are right in the next few years there will be nothing but monsters all 6ft5+
they should bring in height categories Wink

I agree about the height; this year I was able to watch WSM in person and it seemed like the average height in the finals was around 6'4.

Carlos - if you are going over to the UK make sure to cut weight before hand this time...

Nice work at nationals and congratulations once again! Great to see athletes like yourself carrying on the tradition in the 200 lbs class (U90 Kg) class.

is he another basket ball star that didnt make the grade?
but there seems to be a big swing in favour of more 6ft 6 plus guys coming through not just in the USA

He played Semi-Pro Football (american football) as a lineman, but I don't think he was every big into Basketball.

He is 6'8 and 370 lbs, and the newest American Pro Strongman.

GATES said:What's bands should I get for pressing using a bar and a log with DB's to anchor them. 41 inch. What sort of resistance small which is about 80lb for the jump stretch?

I would go with the "mini" ones from StrengthShop, or the EliteFTS Pro Mini Band if their shipping is reasonable (the bands are currently $6.30/each with free UPS shipping - but not sure if that covers orders to the UK).

Thank you.

315 will probably be the next milestone that I go for... but will hold off on trying that for a bit.

rawpowerbaarn said:Very nice. Stones looks really strong. Looks like the yoke is set a bit to high (to little distance from the he ground) to be really fast.

Thank you.

It was my second time using that yoke and due to the spacing on the holes I had to either go with a tough pick-up and a lot of clearance or an easier pick up and low clearance. Since the weight was almost 400 Kg I did not expect to be very fast so I went with the easier pick-up.

Do comps over there usually have 5 events? Seems like comps here have 6 events most of the time (i think)

Most competitions here have five events, although Nationals was a two-day contest and had six events (I just bombed one so I did not post it in the video).
