porridge oats mixed with milk and whey protein, tasted like s**t but once you train your gag reflex a bit (hahaha) you can just drink the stuff and its gone in about 5 seconds

greg valentino, i didnt actually think he was that bad untill he started talking s**t about powerlifters saying that they use powerlifting as an excuse to be fat. once he said that i just thought what a c**t
» Ever wish you were average strength? (Go to post)02-10-2011 @ 14:12
well i am WAY not strong enough for people to think of me any differently, but people do look suprised in the gym when they see an 80kg 17 year old deadlifting 200kg+.

I have allways seemed almost unhuman to most people though, not because of strength but basically because im a complete weirdo. if you go through an oldham secondary school with back length hair then you are used to being the not average person, to say the least.

in my opinion though, everyone on sugden is very very strong and i realey look up to that. boar is like a father figure to me haha

shanejer said:When I had a 210 deadlift I just aimed to do 200 for 3x3, think I started at 180 and added a 5 each week, if I failed a week I'd do it again till I got it. When I finally did it I pulled 230 the week after!

thats a pretty nice idea actually

fctilidie said:Are you basing it off a max you've done once before? How long ago did you hit the max your basing it off? Don't forget that we have good and bad training days and you might of hit that max on a really good day. Might be worth giving 5/3/1 a go as it works off percentages of 90% of your max.

i did consider 531 but it would take months before i even met my 1rm again, let alone started to beat it

Clean and jerk:
50kg x 1
50kg x 1
50kg x 1 with another jerk aswell

Tried to show sister how to deadlift and clean and jerk, she deadlifted the 50kg and then responded by putting some labels on her head

fair enough. its annoying though that they give you the percentages but then you have to lower your 1rm. why cant they just give you lower percentages? actually no the people who write the programs know what theyre talking about, im just frustrated

robocop said:Jack TBF if your failing to hit numbers it could be that you where too ambitious with your projected max, i find a lot of programmes if you go for a more conservative projected max you get a lot more out program

i found this to be the case with the vercoshansky programme, but some programmes are not for everyone, i found the coan/philipi deadlift one to be horrible and was all over the place come week4

The one I am, or was doing dosnt go off a projected max its percentages off the current max
