In my fed, in which i'm on my own, you'd get 6 good lifts! Wink

Well done!

I'm still working for the mill, doing the same thing.
My home/garage gym is not complete just yet. I need to build a platform. I'll be collecting more bumppers tomorrow, most of my plates are plain iron. Right now i've got two 20k rubber plates, 127.5k of iron, a cheap ol barbell and a pair of racks for squats and jerks, a mat and a weight tree.

To sum it up i cant really train the proper lifts just yet, registration to the gym is still running up to september, i'll be alright.

Cheers

Well f**king hell, it's my old friend from across the water!!!!! How are you doing mate?
The title was a bit hollow to be honest but I had to do it for Al.
Are you getting any training in at all nowadays? How is life treating you?

Well i started training again, not much, once or twice a week. Even bought a barbell and rubbers, racks...

Hunky dory!

» Adlington Barbell mourns the loss of the legend that was Alan Fairclough (Go to post)27-03-2013 @ 15:39
I cant say i knew Alan very well, i met the man twice or thrice and i'll never forget about him. It was to me as if this man would never die, he was intense and full of energy, fantastic lifter yet quite humble. He made me feel more than welcome to his gym, i'm not from around, i'm not even an english man. He knew then i probably wouldnt come back again, yet he dedicated some interest and energy to me. He did make me a better lifter, taught me things. I came back.

I like to think we were friends. I wont be able to come to his funeral but if i could i would.

For professional reasons i had to train less and dropped out eventually. The day i learnt he's gone i went back training, thinking of him. Alan gave me an experience, i will never forget about him.

Rest in peace my friend.
