180 for 1, accordng to boar im in sunday league with smalls lol. i got 4 reps at double bodyweight yesterday. il b happy with 10 reps at double bodyweight.

il prob train until my body cant take it. once im happy with my lifts i dont think il train to get any stronger but just to maintain my strength, fitness etc.

strong bench but id f**k off flys, replace them with incline dumbell presses or decline for that matter.

felt abit s**t this morning, not alot of sleep blah blah blah

db row @ 20kg x 10
barbell row @ 60kg x 10 x 2sets

deadlift
100k x 3
120k x 3
140k x 1
160k x 4
160k x 4
160k x 4
140k x 9 - wanted 10 but barely locked out the 9th

they killed me lol, felt dizzy sick tired n weak so had 10mins rest n finished off lighter than usual.

trap rows @ 40k x 10 x 3 sets, drop last set to shrugs 40k x 20+

biceps - barbell 40k x 8, seated db curl 15k x 10, db hammer curls 15k x 10, short rest (around 20-30secs) between each set

done. happy with deads today, tech felt good n overall stronger than i expected, thought id struggle this week but went ok. think work up to 167.5k for 3 reps if i can and do 175k x 2 the week after OR do sets of 4 at around 160/165?. going for a 190pb the week after that. any ideas guys?

thankyou boar, i may have spare myself the embarrassment anyway now bcos our baby is due around the 20th april, early may could be ok though guess il just av to w8 n see how things go.

well as far as i know they do have different handle sizes, but the pick ups easier as its higher n on a side. also i think it easier to grip bcos its a side hold compared to a barbell in front of you, a side position just feels more natural. either way i wouldnt worry about it, and now theres weight classes in the comp i wouldnt b surprised if the farmers was lighter than 100k for the u90s.

jus read thru last couple of pages. good stuff, n also dont worry about the farmers iv only ever done them once n did 100kg for 10m, with a 170k deadlift, ther easier to hold/pick up than a barbell so with ur deadlift 100kg farmers shudnt b a problem mate

seriously im not bothered what the events will be im crap at them all, it will be my 2nd comp just for experiance and to see how tough it is. also probably the closest comp to where i live so why not. dates depending tho, any rough idea on month?

do it on a satday, hope boar cant make it n give every1 else a better chance of qualifying.

also if its getting rigged pls do it in my favour, i suggest twig for reps, hotwheels/matchbox car for deadlift, n atlas pebbles from 150 - 250 grams
