Haven't done this for at least 3.5 years.

They also do a 105 version for under £1500. Most reviews suggest it's a fantastic bike (better than most comparatively priced carbon bikes):

The CAAD12 isn’t just a great alloy bike — it’s an exceptional machine regardless of its material. After all, any bike that has us questioning whether to choose it over the carbon SuperSix EVO has to be something very, very special. - Bikeradar

A good video on carbon vs aluminium.

Basically, an aluminium bike with good components trumps a carbon one with cheap parts.

But, if you compare carbon vs aluminium and keep all other variables the same, carbon wins.

I was out with my little lad today and he fancied an ice lolly. We were down Cowley road at the time - a busy, bustling area close to central Oxford full of restaurants and shops. Could I find a chuffin shop that could sell me an individual lolly? Could I hell. Eventually, I gave up and bought a box of 4 from a well known supermarket for £2 - not a bad deal I thought. I gave one to the lad, kept one for myself and was left with the small dilemma of what to do with the 2 remaining, and now rapidly melting lollies. On my way into the supermarket I had noticed a bearded man in heavy military outfit and his dog lying on a blanket asking people for change as they walked past him. I walked over and gave him the 2 remaining lollies. In return, I got a barrage of abuse along the lines of 'what I am to do with flavoured ice?'

One would have thought ice lollies would come in handy on the hottest day of the year thus far. I was clearly mistaken!

Classic Pete quote.

If you had to choose between them, which would you go for?

It's annoying and I totally sympathise!

Whilst I don't add whey anymore, I do add honey and it makes my porridge so liquidy that I end up adding more oats to thicken it back up again.

I'd love to know why you have to be under 70kg to ride it. Most top end bikes are able to get under the UCI weight limit and still be available to us heavier chaps.

Me too. Don't get it either. But he does say it in the video (at 0:50). I think it's just bike snobbery!

Froome's bike. You have to weigh under 70kg to ride it!

Maybe he thought the guy was going to throw piss on him and got in first?

Lol possibly.

But an athlete of his standing should have more self control IMO.

I've seen it twice and I'm not impressed to be honest. It wasn't just a shove for safety reasons but a proper punch with plenty of venom.

Thoughts on Froome punching that fan?

Not sophisticated, but it does the job.

I have copied this meal. It's very good. Healthy, tasty and fairly quick to prepare.

Matt Stevens based a lot of his training round commuter miles. I think they can be used to great benefit.
