You always lifted like a beast. You actually look like one now.

Life's too short. Prefer to pay someone to do it. Plenty of volunteers and competition about.

The whole process sounded like it was exhausting mate. Hope you enjoyed your day though.

Why do you think that girl lied about the breakfast?

Fatpete said:Tyre pressures have been adjusted for loaded carrying tomorrow as there will be Rick (140+) Phil (140+) and me (135+) in the car.

Out of interest I checked the maximum load in the car's handbook, it's 450, so with a packed bag and the belt we will be pretty much there

It's posts like these that keep me coming back for more.

You asked me earlier whether I had a favourite one. I don't. There are just too many of them to choose from.

Hope you had a good meet today fella.

Nice bit of deadlifting on Monday mate.

This is now the only powerlifting journal I read these days! I also read Boar's antics but you're the only powerlifter I follow now.

He should serve his ban doing powerlifting comps in untested Feds and break some records.

Some lovely Lebanese take out. When it comes to takeout, I'm guilty of going with the more traditional cuisines but this was lovely. Little gem of a place in Oxford I've been going to for over 10 years now. The chicken shawarma and moutabbal stood out. The tabbouleh and fattoush salads were very refreshing too.

Boar said:do you have your turbo attached to anything ?

I am a fact and figures guy so trainerroad works wonders for me and really helps me focus and knock out some decent sessions , befor that I used a cadence sensor with my garmin and just used to try and maintain a certain speed ,all good fun !!

hunk.

any news on your new garmin ?

Not hooked to anything mate. I'm lazy that way but I'm sure it will enhance training massively.

I've passed the garmin details to the missus...birthday in 12 days!

» EU vote (Go to post)01-06-2016 @ 08:04
You can debate from now till the cows come home whether we'd be financially better off in or out. Some very clever people have made some estimates and predictions but they're educated guesses.

People will eventually vote for what they think suits themselves, their families and their livelihoods. We kid ourselves slightly thinking that when we vote, we do so for the greater good of the nation, but when it comes to something like this, we will vote for what we think keeps up in jobs etc. And I don't blame people for doing so.

Immigration is an emotive topic. Leaving the EU in order to sort out immigration is like using a sledgehammer to crack a nut; a nut that may prove to be made of titanium. It's a clumsy, over the top and misguided approach...and may not be as effective as people think. There are other ways to sort immigration out and leaving the EU for that sole reason is a mistake IMO.
» please analyse my poverty squat (Go to post)31-05-2016 @ 08:55
I'm assuming this is not how you'd ideally like to squat but this style allows you to do it pain free?

I take what others have said, but on the plus side, that rep looked fluent and powerful. You've obviously spent many hours working on that form.
