Shattered from work today but managed to put in some decent work. Wasn't programmed to attempt a bench pb but 92.5 felt easier than usual so I went for it. Failed it halfway up. Dropsets for both squats and bench felt awful though, had to really grind the reps out when they should have been fairly smooth. Also noticed my arms shake a lot when I bench.

Been feeling crap all week with a bad throat, sinus pressure and other inconvenient symptoms but considering I've had that and early shifts all week at work I haven't missed a set, rep or session this week so it could be worse I guess. Going to try and rest up as much as possible this weekend.

Only time I took a ridiculous amounts of painkillers were:

1). Enduring severe cluster headaches and eye/sinus pain that felt like someone was stabbing me repeatedly in the eye.

2). A crippling lower back injury that put me out of deadlifting pretty much the whole summer.

After training through these whilst being NSAID up to the eyeballs I came to a conclusion that these moments were so painful that I would not even wish them on my worst enemy.

You should of seen the amount of people staring when he did it. There's not many people who bench over 3 plates touching their chest and back up by themselves in my gym, assisted rows on the bench press with half ROM is usually their preferred method Grin

Managed to persuade my manager yesterday to get in 90 minutes early so we could both train before opening up the gym. Did alright considering I woke up pretty early, felt sore from working all weekend and had to cut my rest periods and warm up a little shorter than I'd like to. I'm lucky I've got a decent manager, otherwise I wouldn't had been able to train at all today, as well as the fact I'm still technically not allowed to train at work because of the incident a couple weeks back lol...
