I reckon the fatburners like clen and epherdrine and that other s**te dnp or whatever you call it is far more dangers than actual steroids. Remember lots of bodybuilders abuse a hell of a lot of narcotics on top of the PED use.

Not saying steroids are completely safe, obviously they to have their own side effects and of course everybody reacts differently to drugs. If appropiate care is taken and you visit a doctor regulary and are open about your use, then am sure a lot of side effects can be minimized or even avoided altogether.

John said:My last big deadlift .i just paced up and down but not aggressively I got very emotional I don't even know why I was close to tears! I felt kinda tingly I grabbed the bar and pulled it felt nowhere near ad heavy as it should of I locked out and stood for a few seconds in disbelief. After setting the bar back down I checked the weight 3or 4 times to check I'd counted right lol straight after the lift I felt like a wave of tingling and j felt a bit giggly weird.could become addictive :-)

Just noticed your bench is only 10kg off your deadlift and your squat is a lot higher. Are they equipped numbers or have you a back injury?

Therein lies the problem though, it's not hard to get educated on the subject and young people do ask questions and they have the internet to find out answers. As I said in my second post here, the real danger is when these sufficiently motivated young lifters find that they're not as dangerous as they have been lead to believe it initiates that YOLO response and they are far more likely to overdo things at that stage.
Dorian Yates said it in an interview recently, when he was taking them there was a genuine air of uncertainty around them and they were handled with respect. Nowadays steroids are far, FAR more prevalent and for the most part are taken far more casually with recreational drugs, stimulants and all sorts.
Education is needed, not blind scare mongering. It may have worked for our generation but that doesn't work with the youth of today.

Spot on, good post.

Later in the day they mentioned something about possibly holding it as a separate event next year, which would be a great idea, IMO. Not only so it doesn't impact on the strongman comp, but so the strongmen can prep 100% on deadlift.
I suppose it's whether they think enough people would turn up just for the deadlift comp.
For me the deadlift comp was the best and most exciting part of the day!

Max log and max dead on same day. Highest total wins. Obviously if you max one, the other would suffer but it would be bragging rights for the static strongest man.

I read today Z was semi-retired , he will train for WSM 15 only . Hope he makes Arnold but I doubt . Anyway I think he will deadlift next year and will break the record .

Z doesn't need the record. He is already the greatest ever.

Guys google gh15. Apparently he was a real pro bodybuilder who spills the beans on their lifestyle. Rumour has it, its Nasser. Don't know if genuine but some of the s**t he posts about bodybuilding is f**ked up to say the least.

Does this hitting s**t really help you lift more. Never had anyone slap me so have no clue. Nose torque is pretty useful imo.
