SMed said: Also, think of the story your relatives would have to tell. Much cooler to say you were taken out by 100 horses, rather than a duck. No one has time to get into the details of sizes etc. haha. good point, an added bonus! "No one has time to get into the details of sizes etc." I can just imagine it now. "Chris was killed by a duck." "Oh that's terrible. Anyway I'll see you later." "Don't you wanna know how big it was?" "No time for details, gotta run!"

SMed said:Toughie... probably cum? I'm imagining the smell would be easier to get used to. But maybe the s**t would make you tougher? Ok, so would you rather fight one horse-sized duck... or 100 duck-sized horses? 100 duck-sized horses. They'd probably be biting at your shins or whatever but at least you can sort of trample on them. My tactic would probably be to run away and lure them into a bottleneck-type feature, in a similar fashion to 300, and then deal with them a couple at a time. A horse-sized duck would be tough to take down without any weapons. Would you rather win weightlifting gold at the Commonwealth games or win Olympic gold in the dressage event (tried to think of the crappest sport at Olympics)?

Desert island probably. Take a bath in a tub full of somebody else's s**t or a tub full of somebody else's cum? You have to submerge your head fully at least once.

Didn't match my PB but tbh I'm a bit surprised I got 155 considering how training has been going lately. Max bench tomorrow then max Deadlift on Thursday lol.

Full body Squats Warmed up low bar oly-style. 130x3 Performed oly-style. tough 130x3 PL style. much better 130x3 PL style again. good GMs 60x10 60x10 GHRs/band curls/reverse hypers 2xBWx13/2 sets/2 sets Bench - with small chains 85x3 85x3 85x3 no spotter. all sets good CGBP - with 4 board, paused 80x5 80x5 80x5 decent DB rows 37.5x12 37.5x12 Fast DB Shrugs 37.5x5 37.5x5 37.5x5 Seated DB Press - Unsupported back 20x8 20x7 20x8 These were tough Tricep DB kickups 10x7 10x7 10x7 Abs 2 sets Good session. Thoroughly knackered now. Decided to stick with PL-style squats now (I know I can't make my bloody mind up!) as they do feel a lot more comfortable with low-bar. That first set of squats were pretty bad, the final 2 sets were good although pretty slow. Never been good with the speed on the squats anyway! Max squats on Monday, aiming for a PB!

ME lower squats 140x2 140x2 140x2 tough. Form broke down a bit and bounced a little too much sumo rack pulls 160 for 6 singles. All fast Dimmels 60x20 60x20 machine rows 30x12 30x12 GHRs BW x 12 BW x 12 lat pulldowns 55x12 chinups 5 Squats were tough, new technique is a lot more difficult. Contemplating enrolling on the next weightlifting slot in March for one day per week alongside the 3 days of powerlifting. Feel like it's a waste going to such a good wl gym and not using it fully...

Funky_monkey said: Remember to keep up ankle/calf flexibility. The reason I was asking is because in some federations, you're allowed to be on your toes instead of having the whole foot planted. Footwear will make some difference to you, such as oly shoes (if you have any) As far as I'm aware, no federation will allow the foot to be in contact with any part of the bench whilst lifting, so Sam's red light was well within the rulebook and the ref was just following the rules. Ah yes, good point. I'm aware that BPC (??) + others allow you to be on toes. I do usually bench in my oly shoes and I find it helps (with my incorrect leg drive technique at least lol) as you say!

Lol point taken, thanks for the clarification. When I said 'into the bench' before I meant more 'along the bench' to reinforce the arch, but I'll try and do this using the feet instead from now on! And it's the GBPF I plan to compete in.

To get the most out of your legs when benching should you be driving them such that your arse is just about coming off the bench (but still touching)? Or using them to drive your arse into the bench to give a more concrete base?

I tried raw horse meat on holiday. Tasted bloody great, a little bit like salami except just better. That's the best way I can describe it...

I've got the power perfect 2s and they only have a heel of 0.75 inches so they're not one of the highest shoes around. Probably best to go to a cobbler and get it done. If it's good enough for the Chinese lifters, it's good enough for you. http://farm9.staticflickr.com/8010/7657055008_bce284f0cf_b.jpg
