My black wolverson bar lives in the garage and has no signs of rust on it. It's a decent bar for the money, I'm happy with it.

Benvie said:Not exactlu what the original post was about but I quite like the look of the safety straps poundstone uses. He has them set up like normal safety bars in the rack to stop the bar getting damaged, they look like they'd be good for doing log from as well.

I could only find videos of it in his instagram and don't know how to link that to here.

I made some of these when I had a crap rack without safety arms after almost killing myself benching. I looked at the spud inc ones and realised they were just towing straps, chains and karabiners so bought the all the bits and made my own set for about £30.

» Fire service practical test (Go to post)23-07-2015 @ 20:25

I'm wholetime in Manchester. I think most fire services use the national standard physical tests now: http://www.fireservice.co.uk/recruitment/physical

That website is a good source of info and the forum is pretty good as well.

The tests themselves are straight forward, just remember to do EXACTLY what you are told to. It's amazing how many people fail for not following the instructions they are given.

When I did it if you failed one thing that was it and you were sent off the yard back to the changing room. Those left at the end had to do the bleep test.

Hit a drunk girl in Leeds city centre one night. She was messing around with friends and stepped out in front of me. She rolled up the bonnet, over the roof and dropped off the back.

When I got out of the car a crowd had formed around her so I checked for any damage to my car. This didn't go down well with the crowd. Happy

Anyway, no damage was done and the girl was fine. Just had to explain to the Mrs why my car was covered with glitter.

I built my current PC for gaming. I'd never previously built one from scratch but had upgraded graphics cards and ram etc. It was surprisingly easy and proved far more cost effective than buying one ready made. Check out the overclockers.co.uk forums. Lots of info on there and a step by step guide, you can even post a spec me thread with a budget and the guys will help you get the best bang for your buck.
» Cops on gear (Go to post)12-12-2014 @ 23:44
If a cop is buying steroids in this country, then isn't he technically doing business with a drug dealer? Can see why this might be frowned upon.

Plus the guys who are high up and make these kind of decisions are probably ignorant about steroids and just believe what they read in the Daily Mail.

Think it worked out a little over £500 including shipping from Finland. Worth it though. Happy

Quality is way above the Powertec crap I had before.
