Out of interest, why are people trying to catch it on the red button and not just watching online? Just a case of small computer screens?

A quick google search brings up Club Nautic in Salou, don't know if that is any good for you? The best bet might be to ask around when you get there, I've often found little hole-in-the-wall back-alley type gyms that don't get mentioned online as they are so small and not what holiday makers usually want.

Cracking competition for all the medals today. Was hoping Usman or Opeloge might be pushing towards 300kg, but we still have a few months to go until the Worlds.

Many of the lifters we've seen are pretty much like many of the guys on here - those who have come to Oly lifting late and are much "stronger" than their totals reflect.

That first pic deserves to be in the 'What I had for Dinner' thread.

The real shame is that they even test.

Another excellent comp. Hope Tiler's back injury is nothing serious.

I know some aren't too enthused with the commentary team but I've thought the coverage has been generally very good. It must be hard to spend 6 - 8 hours a day talking about two lifts without repetition or redundancy. And at least "the first pancake" is different from "pop a broomstick over your head" or "bone on bone".

I hope all the sessions are kept archived permanently somewhere after the Games have finished.

It was all a bit of a s**t show - but as I said, the logs and vids were good.Happy

Pleased to see the recovery continuing.

You really need to do more volume however, these brief sessions just wont do. Happy

I know a few people from here post on there, does anyone know if Forum has been taken down after the recent Travis Mash related meltdown from the owner of MDUSA?

Frankly I could take or leave the 'Why does US lifting suck' threads but the training logs were interesting and I enjoyed the many lifting vids that were regularly posted.

Rick said:You need to save these pieces you're writing, together with the photographs, somewhere safe. In a few years when you've knocked off a few more of these they'll be the start of the book you write about it. Seriously.

That is a damned fine idea.
