Some guys blog over videos of themselves training which I think is probably the best idea, but it is far simpler technically just to video yourself talking without having to dub it over other footage, plus it gives you the flexibility to it as long you want. If you are or want to be a sponsored athlete etc it also gives you extra face time, chance to show you in the T-Shirt etc, and they are always looking for people who are comfortable on camera. For precisely the reasons you have mentioned just talking into the camera can be quite hard. | |||

I generally play them in the background whilst doing other things (unless of course there are actions) so it's just like listening to the radio. Mind you I also like to listen to the director's commentaries on DVD's. | |||
