My deadlift is shocking compared to my upper body as over the years i neglected me legs and lower back until i got into strengh training. I am knocking on the door of a 180kg raw bench yet only puyll 220 for one.

Suppose its down to many factors, genetics, how you have trained in the past and what you like to do.

I drink lots and don't regret it ever, i don't drink monday to thursday! But when Friday lands i have at least two bottles of wine in the house and then saturday i drink from the time rugby finishes until i cannot drink anymore! Bad i know, it doesn't help training but i enjoy it! Yippeee

I would be interested in entering this if the weights were doable for me, and i was allowed hahaha,

Tonights Training, Back and Tris

Deadlift, really pissed off with these had a s**t time of it, i'm blaming it on a bent bar but it was never really there.

All weights in kilos and totally RAW, no belt.

100 x 5.


100 x 5
140 x 5
180 x 2
200 x 1
220 x F
180 x 2 - should have been 5 but wasn't there, bar was too hard to hold?

dumbell rows

60 kg x 5 each arm x 3 sets

left back there as was pissed off, no heart tonight

Close Grip Bench, weight in Kg all raw

60 x 10
80 x 5
100 x 5
120 x 5
140 x 2

Then some tricep pushdowns for reps, gay i know

Game over a very annoying and poor session for me in general.

Might see if i can try someones to see how i go with my current PBs on squat and DL, maybe do all my sets beltless and then put it on for my se t before PB and PB set?

I have recently started to train for strength, currently i do all lifting beltless and my back feels fine.

When do you decide to wear a belt and would it increase my totals?

Any advise on what i can do to gear my training towards strongman - powerlifting would be appreciated as i know very little. Have no access to any strongman equipment at the moment.

Shoulders.

Push Press weight in Kilos

60 x 5
60 x 5
80 x 5
100 x 3
110 x 1 PB
110 x F, didn't get enough leg drive, my tech is really poor on these virtually strict press most of the lift anyway!

side laterals and rear delts, again some gay bodybuilding stuff, just cannot resist!

Legs, weights in kilos, totally RAW not even a belt

100 x 5
140 x 5
160 x 1
180 x 1 PB
180 x 1

Legs press, 5 x 4 sets lots of plates but dont know what the weight is actually on the legs.

Finished, home for a few beers in the garden and some chinese pork chops!

Incline Press..Don't normally do these but wanted to do some reps as i feel unfit at the moment.

Did some curls, gay i know but feel incomplete if i do none and then went home. Short sessions as i have to do legs and shoulders tomorrow (today)as working saturday.

Hi all,

Been here for a while but rarely post, just read up and learn to be honest. I have trained for a long time but followed a bodybuilding style routine. For the last six months or so i have tried to go heavier and concentrate on the basisc with a bit of bodybuilding stuff on there.

I have taken the plunge as i want to take up strongman and possibly powerlifting at one stage, so i need to nail the legs and back as my deadlift and squat are poor. Only started deadlifting just over six months ago, did try it prior but then stopped. I have been squatting for even less time than that properly.

Tonights training was a short session, back only.

Deadlift, all raw not even a belt.

100 x 5

140 x 5

180 x 1

220 x 1 PB

180 x 5

Dumbbell Rows

60 x 5 x each arm

60 x 5 x each arm

50 x 10 x each arm

Cable rows

unknown weight at 10 x 4
