20/04/2017 So after almost a year of once a week bodybuilding style stuff I decided to do some strongman. I'm 3 weeks in, and decided to log it. I'm competing in May (if I don't get injured, like usual). Tried some maxes today... 1x1 165kg squat. Not bad considering I haven't gone past about 80kg for reps in a year. 1x1 130kg DOH Axle. Grip doesn't seem to have regressed much. Only 10kg off old max. | |||

30/01/2016 Was supposed to be squats... Did 6x125kg Then second set after 1 rep left calf was f**ked... old ice skating injury back to haunt me... I only seem to squat about 10 times a year Did bar walkouts and stand up to 232.5kg. Then a f**k tonne of core work. | |||

26/01/2016 Strange session tonight. Hungover as f**k this morning only had 3.5 hours sleep... Deadlift Was up to 180kgx2 then realised I had misloaded one side by 7.5kg extra... back tweaked pretty bad. But I'm a bit gung-ho so I continued. 2x200kg 2x205kg 2x210kg Amazed with these numbers considering this is only 6 weeks into my training... Then I realised I did the whole workout with shoes on! The world is strange. No accessory work as my back was now hurting from the misload. |
