I need to figure out my squat 1RM for the Extended Russian Routine. I don't do squat 1RM's because I don't have a power rack at home. Should I use my perdicted 1RM to generate the percentages? The routine doesn't say. I'm asking because the weight looks HEAVY when I calculated for the 4x4, 3x3, 2x2 weeks.

I'm familiar with Korte 3x3 program. I've never tried it though. I don't have any desire to ever compete.

I made progress last week with my current routine, so I decided not to start the extended russian routine for now.

Yeah, I'm American. I heard about this forum from http://www.powerliftingwatch.com/powerlifting-forums

I don't know if my conversions are accurate.

Full SQ: 260lbs/2.2=
Conventional DL: 316lbs/2.2=

I think the bench press is an important strengh training exercise, but I think its over emphasized and can be boring at times. I've bench pressed low 80-something DB's for a few reps.

I'm new. I'll be starting The Extended Russian Routine on Monday. I'm replacing the Bench with the Strict Press. I'll do lat work and hammer curls for assistive exercises. http://www.geocities.com/Colosseum/Arena/1435/russian.html
