I'm not sure mate, it might just be a balancing out the shoulder gurdle thing and the face pulls help do this and feel very therapeutic. Between the deload and the face pulls my shoulders are starting to feel good again thankfully!

Glad to hear it. Ain't nothing worse than niggles and injuries cropping up when s**t's going well.

You reckon it was your rear delts and rotators giving you the bother?
Seems a bit silly now that I think of it because of the level of your back development.
How are the shoulders feeling anyway? Any less sore?

Welcome man Happy
Hope all goes well for you here. Unfortunately I don't know much about westside methods myself either. Always just done 5s, 3s, and higher rep stuff alongside my other sports.
Have fun training!

Slow jogg for a mike and half.

That's it for today

That's a solid session in there today with that conditioning. I think a wee trip up north may be on the cards when I get my s**t together for a shot at that quarry. I'm supposed to be visiting my pal Jim later on this year up in Aberdeen so I'll get in contact. With any luck I'll be able to get at least 1 stone off the ground haha.

That was some really imPRESSive pressing in that session there. 75kg is a lot of weight to be standing with above your head!

Martin and I hit training early today. 9am to be exact. I've not been up this early in months but I'm gonna try and do it on Thursdays.
We kicked it up a notch today, BIOOOTCH!
The session went as follows:

Round 1
1/4 mile with 25-30kg sandbag on shoulder
1/4 mile without sandbag
10 sandbag floor to shoulders
Time: 5:12

Round 2
1/4 mile with 25-30kg sandbag on shoulder
1/4 mile without sandbag
10 sandbag floor to shoulders bulgarian bag style
Time: 4:54

Round 3
1/4 mile with 25-30kg sandbag on shoulder
1/4 mile without sandbag
10 sandbag floor to shoulders mixed style
Time: 4:40

Conclusion
This training was horrific and to think that we're working up to 4 rounds with a 45kg sandbag. Running with a total bodyweight of over 120kg isn't easy at all. This gives me respect for the likes of Jonah Lomou who runs around at this weight all of the time. What an athlete the man must be.
Next week should be a definite 30kg bag for 4 rounds if I can handle this. Through the spit, snotters and screaming, I made it out alive today.

Martin posted an extremely respectable time with his rounds today. EXTREMELY respectable. From what I've seen in sport and what I witnessed today from him, he must be one of the better all round athletes in this country.
