Definitely is mate. The old one feels more like PVC. Both are real nice grip tools but you;ve definitely got the best model. Your numbers can improve really quickly if you train on it often!

Fletch - Cheers mate, had the 80kg halfway up. With chalk it will go easy enough. 1st time ive ever done it so cn only get better.

Yeah a single hand plate pinch with the smooth sides out. My best effort on this lift is 2x20kg with 5kg of chain for extra weight through the middle.

I like the new rolling thunder model than ironmind brought out. It spins a LOT but holds a little more chalk so sweat is not as much of an issue as it was. Mark Felix (and my mate Steve Gardener) pulled 125kg or so with the same handle so i have some catching up to do.
