Vitaliy Gerasimov takes World U105 Title

14th December 2009 - Posted by Rob Ironmind confirms that Vitaliy Gerasimov won the SCL u105 World Championships held this past weeked in the Ukraine. The competition featured a brutal set of events, displaying how far the 105 scene has developed in recent years.

Britain's sole representative Paul Woods finished 10th in what was a tough line-up.
Arm-over-arm: 440 kg x 18 meters
Dumbbell lift: 80 kg for reps
Truck pull
Log lift medley: 120, 130, 140, 150 kg
Farmerís walk: 2 x 125 kg, 2 x 25 meters
Manhood stones: 170 kg x 60 seconds; 140 kg x 60 seconds
Squat: 310 kg for reps
The final places and points were as follows:
1. Vitaliy Gerasimov (Ukraine) 70 points
2. Mykhailo Melinkov (Ukraine) 68
3. Marius Lalas (Lithuania) 64
4. Gert Gorshanov (Estonia) 63
5. Aleksander Mantserov (Russia) 58
6. Justin Blake (USA) 37
7. Oleksiy Vyshnickiy (Ukraine) 34.5
8. Maris Blumfelds (Latvia) 34
9. Patrick Baboumian (Germany) 31
10. Paul Woods (UK) 25.5
