There we have it, confirmed in the commentary. Being a builder is the perfect athletic base for weightlifting. So carpet warehouse operative really should be up there too.
CC
England's Jaswant Shergill starts with 105/110/112x
MrSmall
He did very well!
CC
Gareth Evans 118/120x/120x
MrSmall
Shame for Gareth as he looked strong.
MrSmall
Jaswant just hit a fantastic 140 clean and jerk, 141 he would not have stood up with, but smoked the jerk. Great to see.
CC
250 total for Jaswant. Great lifting from him today.
CC
Gareth Evans finishes with a 268kg total.

He always seems to nail the jerk after such a tough looking clean! The guy is quick!!

I know its not weightlifting but has anyone just seen Craig Maclean win a "para sport" event?
MrSmall
16 year old from Nigeria just broke the 53kg Games record! Awesome.
MrSmall
Not sure why but a lot of these women are having really dodgy elbow lockouts and the referees are having a hard time of it from the jury.

One of the Indian women here is a brilliant technician, very professional and calm approach to it all. Great to watch.
MrSmall
Brilliant competition, very close for a few lifters, went down to the very last lift. 16 year old Nigerian won it, great stuff!

Time for Cyprus's best lifter to go at it at 62kg later on, now!
