Such a common injury. I compete, albeit at a low level currently, and regularly severely bruise my biceps doing stone and especially keg loading. This bruising must not be good for the overall health of the bicep muscle and tendons.

Wondering what the top guys advocate as far as biceps training goes. Heard some conflicting stuff tbh, 'don't train em direct as it will make them bigger, and scar tissue muscle mass is fractious and tears', to people saying train em hard and heavy,, make the area as strong as possible.

The thing about strongman deadlifts is....they are strongman deadlifts. Rather than having some pointy heads analysing the s**t out of a lift and giving no lift to athletes they don't like, the strongest men win by lifting the most weight, any bloody way, from the floor to a standing position.

Have been looking at some of the dudes on here, and it's very humbling to compare myself to them.

Despite him hating anyone using lifting gear, he seems to be much closer to Louie Simmons than he would probably like to admit. He also writes extremely well. Are there any British strength bloggers of a similar bent?

I have enjoyed his articles for a while now. He seems a good antidote to the Paul CarterJim Wendler approach of 'lift infrequently, only do loads of reps, pretend to be more blue collar than thou'.

He'll go because he has a trump card, hes almost guaranteed to win a deadlift event, and hes got the all time world record deadlift irregardless of people saying the plates were fake, so Colin can make a big deal out of him.

If me pointing that out means I have a problem with him then so be it.


He has also log pressed a lot, squatted a lot, prmotes himself well etc. You just sound like a dick

He strikes me as a really friendly, nice dude. He is more than just a massive deadlift, has good pedigree in strength sports generally.

Training with Sadler must be helping his technique.
