Grip work. As since i started using straps my grip has really suffered

one idea i had was using my oly bar to do "dumbell rows"

as it requires a wider grip i'll hit 2 birds with one stone. grip and back!

Paul_D said:While a hernia can be the result of staining, the most common type of hernia is genetic, a naturally occurring weak spot that may develop in youth or later in life. Exercising the abdominal wall may or may not prevent a hernia from forming.

Generally lifting weights will be he cause if a hernia.

I had one, in and out of hospital in a day, 4-5 weeks recovery, no bother. x

with regards to the genetic thing, i heard that if you have an "outie" bellybutton you are actualy more likely to get a hernia.

Getting a scan in the next week or so, caught it early before was bulging like. s**te all the same.

yeah mine was only about the size of a malteaser right above my naval. It didnt hurt that much an the doc said in a normal person hed leave it but because of my job it would only get worse and to get it early before it got worse. Its s**t not doing anythin but it hasnt hindered me that much so its definitely not the end of the world!

I had one in august. In and out within a day and had about a month doing nothing. After that I literally couldn't sit about anymore and started training very light and built it up from there. Towards the end of october I was back to normal!

The main issue for me was the actual wound being healed. And in the first few weeks of training I'd poke my belly after every set in case itd popped back out!

Now its fine and I genuinely sometimes forget I had one!
» birdseye chicken chargrill (Go to post)21-01-2011 @ 13:44
birdseye chicken chargrills/field fresh steam bag combination (on offer at the mo)

literally the most simple amazing meal ever!

whack a couple of the chickens in the oven, 20 mins later shove a couple of steam bags in the microwave.

season with pepper and mayo and serve...

AMAZING!

anyone else try these??
