On the back of the Joshua v Parker thread, it could now get interesting with the heavyweights.

Fury is aiming for four fights this year starting on 9 June 2018.

Difficult to see what will happen as it is early days for Fury.

Ali did it after 3 or 4 years due to his refusal to be inducted into USA army (Vietnam War)

Mike Tyson 3 years away after his arrest and his short stay in prison.

It could be possible.

200 kilos for reps with shocking form....ouch !

He is the same height as Thor Bjornsson at 6 feet 9 inches but they clearly have different styles when it comes to deadlifting form.

Maybe his boxing skills are more polished than Thors once he is back fight fit again.

Lifting gloves?!?
Straps on a mixed grip deadlift?!?

And to think I believed I couldn't despise him any more than I previously did!!!

Deadlifts aside, I hope he comes back and gets KTFO by Joshua. Or punches himself so hard in the face, that the doctor calls a stoppage as a result.

And he deadlifts more than you and me, without training it seriously!

I guess he is huge to be fair.

Thing with Fury I reckon if he gets focused and into the right mind state he could do some damage in the heavyweight scene.

I think it really just depends on his family and if he's serious about it. He has the tools but will he apply them?.. anyone's guess. I'd lean on the side of not given his history.

Fury is awkward and a very good boxer.
Not the best power as a heavyweight but no one can say he hasn't got ability. He will get back to his best if not better.
Think he needed the time away to gain the love for it again

Tyson Fury is one of the best HW we have seen in a long time.
You don't have to agree with me from a fan perspective, because people like to see knockouts and fighters standing toe to toe. But, his ringcraft is outstanding and incidentally, for such a big bloke, he effectively relies on having his gas tank full. That is rare for HW in general although it's good to see the current crop are able to go full fights.

His sense of range is outstanding and he has an excellent boxing brain.

I can't see him being stopped (KO) in his comeback, only outpointed but I don't see how Joshua, Parker or Wilder outpoint him.

I don't bet often, but I'd bet several pounds on him dismantling Wilder and completely negating Wilder's power. Embarrassing him with footwork and making him miss. For Fury to score stoppages, means for an opponent to walk in to shots. Wilder would do that.

Fury's current number 1 enemy, is Fury.

Sure he has had his fair share of issues, but let's not forget the other history in that he's 25-0 and was the undisputed heavyweight champion of the world. Not only did he beat a guy who was an Olympic gold medalist who had reigned as heavyweight king for over a decade, he basically made the guy look like an amateur in his own back yard. I mean wlad hardly landed a glove on him the whole fight.

He is back, but not the fight to give any opinion yet.

He is a long way off Wilder or Joshua yet.

His opponent rank needs to move up for the next fight.

He is a long way off being ready for a heavyweight if this is the fight he chose.

Based on that fight on Saturday, the signs are not looking good for Fury. Against an opponent a foot shorter and four and a half stone lighter, he still didn’t look super slick. His ring craft is his best asset and it wasn’t exactly up to scratch.
