Monday, 19th March, start 16:10

Squat, sleeves and boots on
20 x 5
20 x 5
20 x 5
20 x 5
20 x 5
20 x 5
belt on
60 x 3
100 x 3
120 x 3
127 x 3
135 x 3
142 x 3
150 x 3
157 x 3
165 x 3
172 x 3
180 x 3
That is what I intended doing but there are some numbers there that I haven't loaded for a while, and I haven't added 7.5 to anything since God was a lad, all went well up to and including the 142, then I misloaded the 150 as 160, having realized that I decided to keep the 160 on as the 157 and then from 165 and up we were back on track.
I know of course that if you have 140 on the bar then you add a 5 to each side and there you have 150, but I have gone 140 to 160 so many times that auto pilot kicked in and I was left feeling foolish. I will try this again next time as I want to do it correctly and I need to improve the 180 set.
My knees which gave me trouble at the end of the year are much better than they were, but every now and then they annoy me somewhat and today was one of those days. On such days it pays dividends to narrow my stance a little as the knees thank me for it, but my depth suffers, the top set today was the first a shade high, and the second two just in. That needs to improve.

Deadlift, boots and sleeves still on
60 x 3
100 x 3
140 x 3
140 x 3
140 x 3

Although in fact I'm not in until next week now. But the thought remains: coach first, lift afterwards. It's very rare the place empties out before 730 now.

Good point, well made, it is however rather a long time to be there as I arrive before four. Can't fault the logic though, it's certainly worth a try

The last set was hard, it was always going to be done but the arse came up a fraction on the very last rep, unless I get a better idea between now and then I intend to repeat this next week and hopefully the arse will stay down

The left elbow feels as though something is amiss, probably something and nothing but no point playing silly beggars.

That watch cost 2000 dollars in the USA. I cost as much as my bicycle. If I want something like a 200 dollar yo yo, I will get it. It will stick in my head until I figure out how to have it. Is there anything expensive things that you have on your wish list? I want a Harley Davidson.

There isn't really. I am a big fan of motorcycles, especially the Harley Brand and the Buell spin-off, but I would not want to own one. If I won the Lottery tomorrow, I would treat the club to two sets of Eleiko bar and weights, one WL and one PL, and then sit and wonder what to do with the rest. Bell and Ross make a very fine pocket watch which I admire greatly but as I don't even own a waistcoat and would rarely wear one if I did there really isn't much point as that would be spending for spendings sake.

I expect that were I to drop the thick end of 30k on a Bell & Ross Pocket Watch I would swiftly find occasions to wear it at. Happy

Then you are a better man than me, I would have to go down the waistcoat and watchchain route in the manner of Sherlock Holmes, but that would incur more spending for spending's sake. Best not to bother

Started as soon as I arrived and kept a decent pace up, as a result was halfway through my pulldowns when the pupil arrived, so I finished off as he warmed up and it all worked rather well for once.
The clocks go on this week and I am refereeing on the Sunday (last week's snowed off day has been put back a week) so I have to train again on a Saturday, I may try to catch a few zzzz's as well in the afternoon. Sleepy Pete may not get too many chances this weekend

I was alone today, lights off, heaters off and window open, changed the clock in the wooden room but it was too much effort to get to the other one. It is high up and you need to stand on something to get to it and there were bars and weight aplenty in the way so I left that for Monday. Most home clocks alter themselves but I do like to do it before I go to bed so all it sorted in the morning. Bedroom clock was done when I got up, microwave clock done this afternoon as was the one I usually forget - the central heating one on the boiler, just the Colt Skyracer now, maybe around five-ish ?

Skyracer was done at five, bought it last week, set it last Saturday - bang on - at five o' clock, today it was still bang on after exactly one week. Today I had to change it but now we have a seven month stretch before it has to be changed again, so now we can see how long it takes it to lose or gain one second.

That's typical of a snow-loving, cheese-eating, mixer-drinking brexiteer
