I am a bench-only guy Member 3, 10035 posts SQ 185, BP 175, DL 235595.0 kgs @ 140kgs UnEq Administrator | Tom_Martin said:Sometimes, some people are built differently than others. Sometimes this gives them an advantage when it comes to certain physical tasks. If these people pick a sport that allows them to use their physical traits to their advantage, sometimes they do very well in this sport. I mean, I certainly agree with everyone in this thread that all people competing in sport should be of vitruvian proportion. We should also all train exactly the same way, follow the same diet and have the same hormonal profile. It would definitely be much better to watch if everyone lifted the same amount of weight in the same manner and everybody got a participation trophy, but unfortunately, sometimes people are better than others at performing a task within the specified rules of the sport and end up winning. I cannot improve on this post, and I shall not even try. Bravo, sir.

Walk your talk Member 5, 25558 posts Administrator | a ROM of 2 inches along with a very well fitted bench shirt couldn't an argument be made that she didn't actually do anything except not break the rules.

Masters of anything appear to be doing it effortlessly. That's still appearing though instead of just not doing it haha.

tabbouleh and fattoush salads were very refreshing Member 267, 8548 posts SQ 220, BP 165, DL 250635.0 kgs @ 90kgs Eq | Interesting posts. Not sure where I stand on this. Every bit of me wants to call that a ridiculous excuse for a test of upper body strength. However, she is competing at bench press as a discipline and is lifting within the rules so good on her.

Member 4496, 1446 posts SQ 240, BP 200, DL 300740.0 kgs @ 112kgs UnEq | Im not sure what i just saw, even if i put my hands collar to collar i wouldnt be able to get the ROM anywhere close to this. Someone commented saying she was last in the squat by 20kg, last in the deadlift by 45kg and last in total by 15kg. Meh benching sucks anyway.

One who can spread her arms so wide that the bar is already on her chest from the get-go." Would she get all bench records for time immemorial? Or no-lifted for not being able to move the weight a tidge and fulfill the requirements of a press? The bar is already locked out for her... Now that would be ridiculous. It was me! They'd be the best mechanics EVER!!!!

Exactly, the fact of the matter is that she happens almost the perfect size and shape for the bench press, you don't ban basketball players for being too tall. Good on her.
