I have been squatting 2-3x a week every week since October 6th 2008, the majority of which for 3x5. I can count the number of sessions I have missed in that time on two hands, I rarely go on holiday. Not so much dedication more like addiction/obsession. It stems from mentally associating not lifting with being 8 stone again at 18. So, as irrational as it is, I just imagine if I stop for any reason I'll just wither away to that again lol

I couldnt remember if the plan was 162.5 or 160 for 3x2 so I did a bit of both. Honestly surprised myself, squats felt good despite the fact I deadlifted heavy from floor on friday, am currently in middle of the hardest exams i've ever had and i have a reet stinking cold at the minute. Definitely bodes well for when I'm feeling well.

Also due to cold I was quite breathless and sweating buckets so for first time ever lifted in a vest.

Saw someone deadlifting tonight with a pair of those real thin 5kg bumpers on the bar first, then 3x20 plates on each side on top of that (150). 5kgs were biggest diameter and getting absolutely mangled under the weight of the 20s. Just made think damn there are some stupid people about. That's my cool story for the day, will tell again on request
