Well...I still need to be careful with this tendon and peaking programs are notorious for being sometime in obtainable at the end but my program shows

Week 10 (next week)

165kg x 3 for 2 sets (would be happy with 1 lol)

Week 11

170 x 2 x 2

Week 12

175 x 2 x 2

Week 13

182.5kg x 1

Week 14

190kg x 1

In reality anything over 180kg would be immense lol!

Cheers mate, being ery very careful now as I don't want to mess things up with an injury!

I had posted a long write up but site crashed and I can't be bothered again...hit a 180kg x 3 paused beltless squat pb and a 200kg single then 230kg x 3 dead against band (310kg at top) and a 245kg x 1 (325kg at top).

Warm ups all felt off today, struggled to get bar line feeling ok...very nearly got the 3rd rep on 165kg but lost line and it was over..that was all a technical fail today but live and learn. I did a comfy single after to make up the triple then decided to switch to paused to dial in my line better and it was much better. 170kg moved sweetly enough even though by that point I was pretty fatigued. Next week the plan shows 170kg x 2 so will see what I can do, pretty confident i'll nail that. The 120kg speed sets felt great and I really focused on bar acceleration and getting a good line. Onwards.

And left it there, minimal volume now as things get heavy and intensity is so high. Deadlifts tomorrow...think its 290kg x 3 for 2 sets. A lot of quality, clean food going in today, was slightly lacking yesterday for one reason and another.

Things fell apart a little today.
 
Forgot to mention on sunday I woke up with a pain in my sternum like it needed cracking...I've had this before..very odd as I just woke up with it. It had eased off the past few days but woke up this morning and its massively painful, the pain is in the middle of my chest right through to the centre of my back. Anyway during first work shift it had eased right off so went to train but just wasn't happening, no pain from the niggle but zero strength, 260kg dead felt like 320. I decided to sack it off and come home. I'm taking the rest of the week off and missus going to check and see what I have done the weekend, maybe a Osteo job yet, depends how bad/not bad it is.
 
Plans for the end of my peak hang in the balance currently, massively annoyed but it is what it is, will see how I feel after the weekend.

Cheers boys...got a diagnosis of Costochondritis.....inflammation of the Sternum.
Yesterday is was horrendous, I was struggling to breath and it was utter agony. Started taking Naproxen and it has instantly eased it, in fact I woke up this morning and I can barely feel it!, hoping I have dodged a bullet. Still taking time off until Monday and will continue the anti inflamms but hopeful my goals are still a possible!

Well chest feels 100% so figured i'd go do some lifting, no following of a plan but I wanted to squat and I wanted to deadlift, $hit got done....

Squats - Lost the pause, added a belt

180kg x 1
200kg x 1

Well that was nice, I have done 222.5kg before to a box but that was just parallel, this was buried and easier, once I got through the sticking point it flew. Any big squatters (Daz i'm looking at you) have any suggestions for hitting that weakness...paused squats like I have been doing? Anyways considering 2 days a go I was on the verge of going to hospital i'm damn pleased! Will aim to nail 227.5kg within the next 5 weeks. I was especially happy as my mate hit a 180kg pb then a huge 190kg pb...last tested max was 175kg....my programming for him is working Happy

Paused Deadlift Against Band (80kg at top)

100kg x 3
140kg x 3
180kg x 1
220kg x 1
240kg x 1 PB
220kg x 2 rep pb

Feeling massively strong, my no paused PB was 245kg I think and this moved faster despite the pause...320kg at the top of that pb...feeling well on point. Did an easy double after.

I left things there for today as I am heading to see Missus this evening and needed to sort stuff out before second work shift...pleased enough considering I thought all plans were over Wednesday. Hopefully Bench on Monday...will be going off plan now and listening to my body...if its there I will push on..if not I will back off. Off to sort my increased libido out this weekend lololol!

Ok another week rolls around and time to bench...i'm going by feel now so warmed up and just did what felt good.
 
Bench Press
 
60kg x 10
80kg x 5

Well...chest feeling completely healed and warm ups felt great, despite me not packing my oly shoes only my flats so set up felt off. Ignored that fact and just concentrated on getting tight on every warm up and hitting the right line. 140kg felt effortless then 160 felt like a 5 or 6 repper easily so I decided at that point the 170kg x 2 was not being done today...180 was going. Set up felt good, weight felt light on unrack and it all went as planned. I didn't pause is which in hindsight I kind of wish I had as I believe it would have paused ok but for today I am happy to hit a lifetime goal of a 4 plate bench...the pause and an extra 2.5kg to make 400lbs can come another day. 140kg x 6 moved nicely after, be nice to get 140 to double figure reps soon.

Get in there awesome stuff mate but try and make it look hard next time. You've got a few kg's left in you I'd say. Damned impressive mate.
