Meh they won't really see the results of my programming in 6 weeks, even if I smash it, you don't go from doing no event training or real heavy lifting in years to hitting any sort of peak in 8 weeks (especially when you start with a slipped disk and get shin splints day 3). Saying this, overall I'm really happy with how things are going considering and I will be putting a lot of work in the coming weeks. The plan is simply to say f**k all that, be my biggest / strongest ever and qualify for England's.

I think them being too small has made it impossible to put any pressure on the bar coming towards me as I basically can't grip it so that's a big part of why its been forward on me and my forms been so off. Felt wayyy better on the other bar and learnt a lot in the 270kg set trying different things. Was spent by the 350kg so happy to move it at all and be back on track after the back issues. Becca's shoulder op tomorrow so won't be training.

Member 2775, 6927 posts | Ok so Becca's had her shoulder op. Everything healthy apart from the ac joint. Lot of inflammation in that area and obviously damage but hadn't torn it again. Everything fixed, starts rehab tomorrow. I suspect it won't be too long before she's using light weights but just need to go off what the specialist says. As for now its rehab exercises 3 x daily and 2 weeks off the gym. Thinking belt squats, back extensions and glute ham raises will be the go to exercises but we'll see how she gets on.
