There's no real method to my training! The run was all out. Max effort so to speak. Maintaining that pace for any longer let alone the whole thing once again seems unthinkable. | ||

This is much better (and safer) than stepping back onto 2.5kg discs which I have seen some people do to elevate the heel. Heel elevation makes it an even more quad dominant movement for those of you who want to isolate the quads and haven't got access to gym machines like hacks and leg extensions. 60x6 70x6 80x6 90x6 95x6 100x6 Barbell lunges - 40kg barbell 3x10reps Snatch grip deadlift - sinking deep into these and really using the quads. Another good leg movement for the barbell fanatics - 120kg barbell 4x6reps | ||

Lost his pen, then found his pen. #phew Member 4899, 2956 posts | If you are trying to hit the quads with just a barbell (um...you know what I mean) I would heartily recommend hack lifts (or behind-the-legs deadlifts), especially in conjunction with the snatch deads. | ||
