Seems I've forgotten how to snatch? Went up to 70 and did 6 singles. 3 ugly makes and 3 misses...may switch back to my old technique.

Snatches with no foot movement - tried these out to try and cure my jumping back.

Was aiming to do 5/6 singles on 75. Did the first one but then failed 4 in a row. Then failed a single on 70. Felt really beat up from Saturday's training. Got about 2 hours sleep on the Saturday and diet has just been awful in general too.

C&Js felt amazing today, best they've felt in a long long time. Wasn't caving at all in the receive. I started with the bar a bit further back over the feet and lowered hips a little bit more than was comfortable. Resulted in a really smooth pull and straighter bar path. Will upload videos when I get a chance.

Front squats were tough but getting stronger every week. Did 90 5x3 fresh last week and 92.5 5x3 fatigued today.

I also weighed myself for the first time since beginning of August and I'm only 92.4kg! Haven't really gained much weight back at all! Need to up the calories a bit, but so hard to keep on top of diet here lol. I guess it's good that I'm still getting stronger whilst staying at the same weight.

Main problems again were jumping back too much, 3 inches or so. Really hard for me to correct. Bar a bit far away from me at the start as well apparently so tried keeping it closer and starting with slightly lower hips. Felt a bit smoother tbh.

Tried to work on a straighter bar path today, think I made a bit of progress but still lots to be done. Lower back felt a bit weird because of the failed push press that I caught funny on Wednesday, but didn't impact the session too badly.

C&J
Did about 10 sets of 1 clean 4 jerks with 40kg. Then 8 sets of 1 clean 2 jerks on 60kg. Coach wasn't bothered with clean, not because I have a good clean, just because the Chinese tend to focus completely on the jerk. My two main problems were leaning ever so slightly back during the dip; should be leaning slightly forward. Second is my footwork, feet need to go out to give a better base of support rather than straight ahead and back. Oh and need to get my head through as soon as bar leaves the shoulders rather than whipping my head back out of the way. The one comment he had on my clean was to go up rather than banging out with my hips (similar to snatch advice).

so embarrassing struggling with 90kg front squats in front of these guys lol. They emphasised really initiating the movement by moving the hips back.
