I personally prefer the stiffest possible. Member 158, 3110 posts SQ 170, BP 107.5, DL 222.5500.0 kgs @ 67.4kgs UnEq | Post Edited: 26.11.2007 @ 23:08 PM purbeck = hardcore (its a large garage), there are ppl there who come and do circuits and a few of us who PL. There is an old but fully functional squat rack, a bench with bar rests, deadlift platform, lat pull down machine, 4 bars, a host of DBs and more plates than a commercial gym. Purbeck has a lot of equipment on loan, a full set of chrome calibrated ivanko plates (very nice), ivanko bar, various other bits and bobs. There is also a dip and station and some pull-up bars arriving soon. Its completely different to FF.I use FF as its open most times, purbeck is only open twice a week at fixed times. Haha I remember a couple of years back, when a woman told me to stop making so much noise from dropping the deadlifts. I told her to go to a library if she was after some peace and tranquility. I see her point, 1KG deadlift and you are dropping it, come on

Probably my best squat session in the last year. I should be good 147.5K single, maybe even a 150K. Dropping down to sets of 3 has really helped me. Deadlifts (using small diameter plates)
The main focus of deadlifts tonight was to keep an eye on my form and not lean back so much at the top of the lift as injury will occur. Good news my form was better but I missed getting the last rep. Overall very pleased. Paul
