EDCLARKE said:i cooked a rabbit once i couldn't believe how bad it smelt whilst it was cooking , tasted ok though, sadly the stink of it cooking put me off ever doing it again. Not sure why it would smell bad - really shouldn't have any smell at all whilst cooking! Was it roadkill, or were the guts in?

Are the rabbits for eating, or just looking at? I got some snowball turnips planted about 5 minutes ago - 60 days to harvest according to Google. My radishes are taking aaaaaages to get growing, but tbf there hasn't been much sunlight apart from today. Weather is set to get much better from Wednesday on. 2 more weeks until it's officially Spring!

Post Edited: 04.03.2022 @ 15:01 PM by Funky_monkey Going to experiment with moneymaker tomatoes in 30 litre buckets I have. You can pinch the tops off at 5ft or so. Only issue is watering them enough in the summer. Thinking of having a tray at the bottom so they can drink during the day.Smaller garden pearl tomatoes can go in smaller pots, maybe 3-5 litre ones.

Sounds like you're making awesome progress! I had to move my radishes and beetroots outdoors as they were getting a bit leggy in my windowsill. It's been 4 days now, and they don't seem to have died. Also planted a row of spinach, and about 12-15 parsnips that germinated on paper towel in tupperware. Want to get my carrots in asap, just making an impromptu grow bed out of 2 rows of blocks with soil in the middle. Tomatoes needed re-potting, and they seem to be growing nicely too. Only thing is they grow to about 7ft tall!

For me, there will always be doubt until he competes properly, or at least gets the plates weighed in front of a camera, then loads them on the bar and benches it in one continuous shot.

Danny, Luki, anyone who cares really. Wilko have got some SWEEEET deals on at the moment - 24 cell trays at 3 for 75p. 1 PENNY PER CELL! 25p seed packets - I got Cylindria beetroot, white icicle radish, mixed lettuce seeds, but there's more 50p seed packets - I got early nantes carrots, mustard seeds, greyhound cabbage Snowball turnips and peas - a whole bloody pound per packet! Tomato fertilizer which can be added to anything that flowers and fruits, like courgette, pepper, tomato, chilli, aubergine - VERY well reviewed, £2 for a litre of the concentrated stuff. I have plenty of the above seeds if you guys want me to send stuff your way. Parsnips are only good for the one year, so makes no sense for me to save any for myself for next year. They were 25-50p a packet anyway.
